Born and raised in North Western N.B., Brenda is the fourth of nine children born to the late Mr. Lawrence Geneau and his wife Rita. She is fluent in both official languages. She started singing at the young age of ten and was lead singer for their family band for several years.

In 1985 Brenda moved to Ontario to pursue her musical dream.
On January 26th, 1989 God used a song to reveal His love to Brenda where she had a life changing experience which led her to devote all her time and energies to writing and singing Gospel music.

In 1995 Brenda released her first recording entitled "His Love Never Dies". In September of 1997, it was released in eleven European Countries where it reached # 2 on the European Country Music charts for most played artist the third week of December. Brenda was quite excited to see her Christian album being played among artists like Brooks and Dunn, Trisha Yearwood, Lorrie Morgan, Alan Jackson and many more. Three songs from this album, "Let Your Light Shine", "Sometimes He Uses Pain...", and "Read John 3:16" were also released in the U.S.A. and received much air play.

Brenda's second project is a song entitled "Igniting Canada's Flame" a song she feels will be used in bringing Canadians together in UNITY. She performed the song on Parliament Hill, July 1st, 1997.
Her third project was released January, 2000, a CD entitled "A Father's Love". It consists of thirteen original songs. Five songs from this CD were released throughout the USA where she scored a #1 HIT with her song, "Sacrifice Of Praise" also the title cut, "A Father's Love" climbed the charts to #4, "Lord Change Me" reached #3, "The One Who Created You" climbed to #6, and "Breathe Your Breath of Life On Me", made it into the 30s on the Power Source Christian Country Music charts.

Brenda was nominated "CCMA's TOP FIVE FEMALE VOCALIST" FOR 2001, "TOP TEN ENTERTAINER OF THE YEAR FOR 2001", and TOP TEN FEMALE VOCALIST OF THE YEAR FOR 2002 & 2003, she also took part as a presenter at the "ANNUAL AWARD SHOW" at the Ryman Auditorium in Nashville, TN, in 2001. In 2002, this exceptional woman, received the award for "FEMALE ARTIST OF THE YEAR" for the N.B. GOSPEL MUSIC HALL OF FAME, and took part in the WORLD PREMIER CHRISTIAN COUNTRY MUSIC CONCERT held at the GMTN (Gospel Music Television Network) in Pigeon Forge, TN, in 2003.
Also in 2003 her Christmas CD entitled “The True Meaning of Christmas” was released and it was nominated album of the year in the Country and Bluegrass category at the Canadian Christian Music (VIBE) awards in 2004.
2006 marked the year of her latest release called “Here Is Love” which is filled with some of favorite hymns of the past set to her own style, and a number of her own compositions, one of which is performed by Nathalie LaForge of Grand-Falls, NB, a young woman Brenda has mentored for the past few years.
Because of so many requests by French speaking people, Brenda hopes to release a CD in her native tongue in the near future.

Brenda has shared platforms with speakers and authors such as Dr. Erwin Lutzer, Henry Blackaby, Dr. Neil Anderson, Dr. John MacArthur, Eleanor Henderson, Anne Graham Lotz, Nell Maxwell, Bill McLeod, and Christian recording artists such as John Starns, and Russ Taff. She has had several appearances on the National TV program 100 Huntley Street, It's A New Day and on ATV's Breakfast Television.
She has ministered in many different countries such as Canada, U.S.A., Barbados, Guatemala, Cuba, Ecuador, Colombia, India, Indonesia, Thailand, Belgium, and France.
Brenda and her husband Wayne Jamieson reside on their beautiful cattle farm just outside of Grand-Falls, New-Brunswick. They are members of the Christian Motorcyclists Association, the Gideons, and Canadian Revival Fellowship and are now with Missionary Ventures Canada. In 2006 the Lord called Brenda to the position of music director of Polished Arrow Music Ministry a new arm of ministry with MVC. He directed her to team up with them to accomplish the dream she’s had for many years. With MVC, she is be able to go into developing countries and share in song and testimony and leave her music with people who cannot afford to buy it. With MVC she is able to duplicate the CDs, place them in paper envelopes at a low cost making it possible to give them away free of charge to people in such countries. Now for every CD sold in North America 5 CDs can be given free of charge. In spring 2007 she had her first CD “His Love Never Dies” translated into Spanish, recorded it and is now giving it away to people in the developing countries of Latin America where she often ministers. Also with MVC, if anyone feels led to partner in the vision of this ministry they can receive a tax receipt for their financial support – a service previously unavailable to her supporters.
Just as God in 1989 used one song to reach Brenda’s heart she knows He has and will continue to use her music to reach many others for His glory.

Should you feel led in this opportunity to share the vision of “Piercing the Heart with the WORD through music”, you can do so by emailing polarrow@nbnet.nb.ca  or calling 1-519-824-9380.
Thank you so much for your consideration.
Sincerely;
Brenda Geneau
